Program Overview

The Village View NORC provides programs and services for Village View Coop residents who are at least 60 years old. We offer clients support services and opportunities for meaningful community involvement so they can live independently in their own homes with comfort and dignity.

Our caring and professional staff is committed to helping residents to maintain their highest quality of life. Our program works in collaboration with the Visiting Nurse Service Of New York, to promote good health through health education, health promotion; health care linkages and direct health care services.          [back to top]


Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to support successful community living:

Social Services
• Long-term care planning
• Assistance in obtaining entitlement benefits
• Referrals for home care services, homebound meals, legal services
• Crisis intervention
• Access to an emergency alarm response system
• Supportive counseling for individuals and families
• Support groups for bereavement, personal development, and more

• General health education workshops
• Individual health counseling
• Assessments to identify health problems
• Hospital discharge coordination
• Referrals to health care providers
• Liaison between health and social service providers

Our Hours & Contact Information
Please visit us at the Community Room at 175 East 4th Street. If you are unable to come down, call us and we will visit you in your apartment. Our staff is available to meet with you: 

Monday - Friday     9am to 5pm
