Our summer program runs from July 8th through August 23rd, please print out an application here or call P.S. 140's Afterschool Director Jason Tomaszewski or Program Coordinator Jazmin Marquez at 646-214-1069 for more information or if you are interested in enrolling your child. Activities for summer include gardening, knitting, art, yoga, theater arts and plenty of fun field trips!

Once again, funding for Educational Alliance's afterschool program for Fall 2013 is in jeopardy! The mayor is proposing budget cuts for more than 47,000 children across New York City. In order to help stop the cuts and preserve our afterschool programs, we encourage parents to attend town hall meetings and participate in the campaign for children's services in our city. Visit http://www.campaignforchildrennyc.com/ for more information on how you can help.

Our next Town Hall Meeting will take place Thursday April 18, 2013 at 6:00pm at P.S. 134 located in the Lower East Side at 293 East Broadway. Get Directions

Last year our students and parents worked hard to make sure city council and the mayor knew exactly how much afterschool programs mattered to them:

We are thoroughly indebted to Campaign for Children for their tremendous support in the organization and execution of our advocacy campaign.

Thanks to a Boys & Girls Club Energy Star Grant, our students at P.S. 140 have been learning about saving energy and why going green is important for today and our future. Activities include performing in skits and creating pamphlets about why this is important. To see our own students perform the skits they created click here- 4th Grade Energy Star Skit

Our Wait List Is Growing - How You Can Help
If our After School programs didn't exist, many local youth would have no options when school lets out. But for every kid we help, there's another on a waiting list that we can't accommodate. Learn how you can help us serve more local children and teens. [back to top]
