"Tikkun Olam" In All That We Do

The Educational Alliance was established over a century ago to serve the Jewish population of Downtown Manhattan, who had just emigrated from Eastern Europe, and wanted help adjusting to a new country.

Our history of helping immigrants continues today  ---  as does our more recent history of helping families who have lived in downtown New York for generations. We serve people from all backgrounds, as part of our Jewish identity.

Everything we do is inspired by Tikkun Olam (Hebrew for "repair of the world").

Here are some of our programs, events and activites that focus on Jewish life.

* LABA: The National Laboratory for New Jewish Culture

* Girls Theater Project

* Storahtelling

* Project ORE

* UJA's Connect to Care
