Health & Wellness

Everyone Should Have Access to Health & Wellness
Obesity and poor nutrition have become national epidemics. Healthy living & exercise are core components of every Educational Alliance program, including preschools, summer camps, sports leagues, after school programs, senior centers, and addiction recovery programs. We provide healthy meals and teach clients -- and, in many cases, their families-- how to incorporate exercise and good nutrition into their busy lives.
The 14th Street Y
In late 2009, our 14th Street Y completed a $1.2 million renovation of their fitness center. This allows us to now provide people of all ages who work or live in or near the East Village with convenient, top-notch workout facilities, including the latest fitness classes and an indoor pool, at affordable rates. 197 East Broadway
At 197 East Broadway, we offer yoga and cardio classes, and low-rate rentals of one of the Lower East Side's only air-conditioned, full-court gymnasiums--where people can play basketball, handball or other games. One day, we hope to be able to offer even more health, wellness & exercise facilities to this dynamic neighborhood.
