The Educational Alliance provides opportunities for 1,500 young children to learn, play, explore, and grow. We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to feel comfortable and safe while they inquire, experiment, create, question, and celebrate. We want them to enjoy the process of learning and carry this love with them for life. We support families as well, teaching skills and offering resources to help parents create strong family relationships.
Our Parenting Centers at the Downtown Community Center and the 14th Street Y are designed to strengthen families by providing parents with support and education in the skills essential for healthy parenting and allowing them time to bond with their infants. Our Head Start, Early Head Start, and Child Care programs for low-income families are model preschools. Our Jewish Preschools offer high quality early childhood education, serving the diverse population of Downtown Manhattan.
