Support Our After School Programs
High-quality after-school programs offer extraordinary benefits.
Students who attend these programs do better in school, and they are less likely to drop out, use drugs, become pregnant as teens, or be arrested.
We offer after school programs to more than 2,500 children between the ages of 5 and 18 at our Downtown Community Center, the 14th Street Y, and five public schools.
Our programs are fun, enriching, and challenging for students. In addition to traditional academic assistance and the support of caring adult role models, we offer classes like yoga, karate, fashion design, and cartooning, all designed to cultivate exploration and learning. Our College Prep Program creates a culture of learning and achievement and provides the tools low-income teens need to get to college.
