Support The 14th Street Y
The 14th Street Y of The Educational Alliance is a Jewish Community Center and a vital neighborhood resource that welcomes people of all backgrounds. The Y provides a variety of programs with a distinctive downtown point of view, emphasizing excellence, innovation, creativity, and a questioning spirit. Inspired by Tikkun Olam, or "repair of the world," the Y embraces values that represent and renew the vitality of our Jewish heritage and its place in our diverse and vibrant community.
The 14th Street Y is a hub of the downtown community, offering programs and activities for expectant and new parents, children and youth, adults young and old, and families. Each year 19,000 New Yorkers participate in programs at the Y. Our programs include:
- Parenting and Family Center
- Preschool
- Jewish day camps
- After school programs
- Full-service fitness and aquatics program
- LABA: The National Laboratory for New Jewish Culture
