Where do classes take place?
The majority of activities take place at The Center for Balanced Living located at the Sirovich Center at 331 East 12th Street.
Some classes are held at The Educational Alliance located at 197 East Broadway.
Swimming is available at the 14th St. Y located at 344 East 14th Street.
Please refer to the CBL Monthly Calendar for specific activity locations.

What are the general class hours?
Classes take place Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9AM and 8PM. As a CBL member, you also have exclusive access to evening and weekend programming between 10AM -3PM.

Are there any other charges in addition to the annual membership fee?
Your CBL membership entitles you to unlimited annual classes and participation in special events, some of which may include an additional fee. As a CBL member, these events will be offered at a preferred member discount.
Membership fees do not cover all costs. In addition to becoming a member, please support the Center for Balanced Living by making a donation. All donation amounts are greatly appreciated. To make a donation please contact Ilene Scholnick-Ausubel; 646-395-4090, or add to your membership payment.

Is participation in the Personal Wellness Program mandatory?
While we consider participation to be a key benefit of CBL membership, your participation is totally voluntary.

What is the membership cancellation policy?
If a participant cancels enrollment in the program prior to its start, The Center for Balanced Living will issue a credit otherwise membship fees are non-refundable.

How do I freeze my membership?
You may freeze your membership at no charge for one consecutive block of time for a maximum of three months per year. To initiate a freeze please contact the CBL office.

How do guest passes work?
As a member benefit, you receive 2 guest passes with your annual membership. Passes are valid for one “calendar week” and can be utilized for classes at all program sites.

Are gift certificates available?
CBL gift certificates are available for purchase by calling 646-395-4523.

Are scholarships available to The Center for Balanced Living?
