About Our Camp
Our camp offers the same affordable, exciting fun as our award-winning sister camps at The 14th Street Y!
Every year we pick a theme; this year's is Under The Sea! We'll learn about the ocean and its creatures, share our experiences of the beach, and engage in a lot of imaginative play Campers will play in our air-conditioned classrooms and gym and our rooftop playground with sprinklers!
Art, science and music activities, active play, and story-time make for a busy day. Kosher snacks are also provided.
Camp Activities
Edgies Lions Camp (For Ages: 2.9 - 4 years old, with prior preschool experience)
Each of our Lions camp groups is led by an early childhood professional, with an experienced Head Counselor and a counselor-in-training (CIT) or volunteer.
Lions Camp is made up of 4 two-week sessions. You may register for as many as you like and they do NOT need to be consecutive. Morning, Full-Day, and Extended Day (until 6 p.m.) options.
The American Museum of Natural History is bringing their Moveable Museum to The Educational Alliance Preschool Summer Camp on Tuesday, July 27 (Session 3). The Moveable Museum brings Natural History exhibits right to our school. This exhibit will be about dinosaurs.
Children attending Session 4 will be wowed by a visit from Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery http://rizzoswildlife.com who will be bringing snakes and lizards and turtles (oh, my!) to our classrooms on August 19. Lion Cubs Mini-Camp (For Ages: 18 months - 3 years with accompanying adult)
In its 2nd year and back by popular demand, mini-camp is for children who have never stayed at a school program without a parent or caretaker. An experienced early childhood teacher will facilitate play, art activities, and outdoor fun with you or your adult caretaker and your child.
Mini-camp has 2 four-week sessions which meet 2 mornings a week: either Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday. (top)
Full Summer: June 28 - August 20 (special rate available!)
2 Week Sessions are:
June 28 - July 9
July 12 - July 23
July 26 - August 6
August 9 - August 20
