COLLAGE
Collage is one of the most prevalent art techniques in modern art. Artists from Picasso to Kiki Smith use collage. In this class students create their own collages, exploring the formal elements of art: texture, composition, line, balance, rhythm and color. More than just pasting images together students will be challenged to use visual narrative and metaphor to express themselves in collage.
