Art Workshops for Beginners!

Are you thinking about taking an art class, but not sure what you want to take? Come to an art workshop and be amazed at what you can learn in 2 hours. You can experience a session before committing to a full course. Plus, you will create an art piece to bring home!
Fee: $25 per 2- hour, hands-on workshop. (Materials included).
EVERYONE CAN DRAW! Forget what your fourth grade teacher said! With a good teacher you can learn to draw. This fun, yet serious workshop is a great introduction to drawing for absolute beginners. 11:00am - 1:30pm
PORTRAIT DRAWING Get an introductory lesson on proportion as you draw your first portrait in pencil. Be amazed what you can learn in 2-hours! 2:30 - 5:00pm
CLAY In this hands-on workshop you will create a cup, add a handle and decorate it! Cups will be fired and ready for pick up in one month.

ABSTRACT PAINTING - oil pastels Experience one session of our popular `abstract painting` course. Learn to express yourself using oil pastels while listening to music for inspiration. 11:00am - 1:30pm
PHOTOGRAMS Dada artists used the technique of putting objects on photo-paper then exposing it to light to create unique "photo-grams." This creative process is a great way to understand how things work in the darkroom. 2:30 - 5:00pm
WELDING & STEEL SCULPTURE Are you intrigued by the idea of making steel sculpture or furniture? This demonstration will give you an idea of the working methods in creating sculpture out of metal. Hands-on demonstration of cutting and joining metal with oxy-acetylene torch.
