Located on the Lower East Side, The Educational Alliance Parenting Center is a resource for new parents, providing Baby & Toddler classes and expert advice in a comfortable, nurturing environment on the Lower East Side. Kinderdance
Wednesdays, beginning July 28
10:30-11:00 am
Sessions may be combined: time to be announced
Ages: 16 months 2 ½ years, with a parent or adult caregiver
Room 301 (3rd floor)
$65 per child; 4 sessions
Walking toddlers will shake, shimmy, and smile! Kinderdance is a nationally acclaimed developmental dance, movement and fitness class specially designed for young children.The classes teach the basics of structured dance, acrobatics and creative movement along with numbers, colors, shapes and songs. Kinderdance helps develop gross motor skills, movement creativity and imagination while building self-confidence. This Kinderdance class will be taught by Ms. Kristina, who is much loved at the Preschool!
Daddy & Me Play Group
Meet Monday mornings 10:00 -11:30 am
The Educational Alliance Parenting Center, 5th floor.
Stay at home Dads, Co-parenting Dads and Dads taking the morning off from jobs outside of the home, join other fathers and their children ages birth through 2 ½ years for our brand new Dads-only Drop-In group.
Enjoy talking with other dads about the joys and challenges of being a male caregiver, while your child plays in our air-conditioned, baby-proof play space. Network with other like-minded men and share ideas about managing child care, household, and sanity in this very female-oriented community.
Meet Monday mornings 10:00 -11:30 am. 10 session punch card can also be used for the Tuesday /Thursday Drop-In groups. $100/10 sessions.

PRESCHOOL

We provide quality early childhood education based on Jewish values and culture. Neighborhood children and parents receive educational, emotional, and practical support, benefiting the family and child and the entire community.
We believe that young children learn through active involvement in a warm, nurturing environment that builds self-confidence and a joyful experience of life. Play - the true work of childhood - provides the foundation for academic learning.
As a Jewish preschool, our classrooms are grounded in the ethical teachings and celebrations of our heritage. We incorporate Jewish culture and values in our child-centered program, benefitting children of all ethnicities and religions, as children experience the joy of community life. Kosher snacks provided.

Children enrolled in preschool experience guest teachers on the child's regularly scheduled days.
All children, regardless of schedule, are invited to join us for Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh and special holiday events.
NEW! After-School Classes
Ages 3, 4, 5
Three year olds must attend The Educational Alliance Preschool or have permission of the director. Pre-registration required for all children.
Arrival is 3:15 3:30 pm. Story time until class starts at 3:30.
Children in The Educational Alliance full-day program may attend directly from preschool class. Children may join our Extended Day class until 6:00 pm after their classes. FREE!
Jewish Life, Jewish Joy!
Tuesdays 3:15-6:00 pm October 5-May 31
Ages 3, 4, 5
Cost: $1,050 (Sibling discount, 10%)
Preschool and kindergarten children will learn about Jewish holidays, customs, and values in a well-appointed preschool setting. Art activities, stories, introductory Hebrew lessons, Jewish songs and free play will make for a fun afternoon. Kosher snack will be served and Brachot said. Led by an experienced Jewish preschool and Hebrew school teacher.
Children may join our regular Extended Day class afterwards (5:45 pick up). Children already enrolled in 5-day, Extended day may attend free!
Happy Harmonicas
Thursdays 3:15-4:15 pm (10 sessions) Begins October 7
Ages 3, 4, 5
Cost: $125 (Sibling discount, 10%)
Anyone can learn to play the harmonica! Harmonicas are made simple by following numbers to play the notes. We will learn how to play simple, classic children's songs without reading music. Playing offers children healthy breathing exercises and helps them to commit to a weekly musical routine. Music is important for both fun and for learning!
Children may join our regular Extended Day class afterwards (5:45 pick up).
Children already enrolled in 5-day, Extended day may attend free!
After-School Art Series
Mondays 3:15-5:00 pm Begins October 4 (optional Extended Day until 6:00 pm)

PARENTING CLASSES
The Educational Alliance Parenting Center is a resource for all parents, providing baby and toddler classes and expert advice in a comfortable, nurturing environment on the Lower East Side. Classes are facilitated by early childhood professionals in a baby-proof All classes are held in our large, light, and airy Parenting Center on the 5th floor, unless otherwise noted. Come play and learn with us!

Jewish Culture for Young Families NEW!
Monday 1:30 -2:30 pm - Begins October 4
Ages 18 mos.-3 years
Cost: $150/10 sessions - Open to all! Sibling discount: 10%
Non-participating, non-crawling infants are welcome to tag along.
Introduce Jewish culture into your family life or simply enjoy engaging in play with Jewish content with your little one! Children will hear stories and learn songs about Jewish holidays and themes. Theyll make art and holiday projects and even learn a few Hebrew words while they play in our beautiful classroom. And while they are learning, so are you! Led by an experienced Jewish preschool and Hebrew school teacher, this class is open to all children and parents.
Ema and Eyfele Playdate Drop-In NEW!
Wednesday: 12:00 1:15 pm Begins October 10
Ages birth 3 years
Cost: $100/10 sessions - Come any Wednesday Sibling discount: 10%
Children 3 and under play together while Ema gets time with other neighborhood Orthodox mothers. Facilitated by an Orthodox early childhood educator, this class offers a unique opportunity on the Lower East Side to mix and mingle.

Dads Drop-In Play Group

Messy play will introduce new materials to children in a creative and stimulating environment. Come and explore new and unique ways of making art and exploring the natural world. With an emphasis on sustainability and creativity, this class provides the ideal experience for you and your child to discover new ways of making art and seeing the world! You and your child will be giggling in amazement!

Gather with other parents, parents-to-be, and caregivers to discuss books about children, family, child-rearing, Jewish family life, and related topics. A list of suggested books will be offered and the group will decide which to read. Our first selection is The Blessing of a Skinned Knee by Wendy Mogel.
