Educational Alliance is dedicated to helping those struggling with addiction issues. We recognize the problems inherent in the recovery process and offer comprehensive services and assistance.
We provide both outpatient and residential drug treatment programs in addition to an addiction prevention program.

Project HELP (Health, Education, Leadership, and Prevention) is Educational Alliance's prevention program funded by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (OASAS).
We provide community-based substance abuse prevention education with specific programming developed for families, teens, and adults of the Lower East Side and east village. Project HELP staff work closely with local elementary, middle, and high schools, after school programs, and early childhood educational institutions to incorporate alcohol and drug prevention education into academic curricula, youth development services, and family support services.
We believe that mental and physical well-being is key to preventing all forms of addiction. We educate the community about the root causes of addiction and teach positive and healthy coping strategies. Learn more >
Educational Alliance operates two residential therapeutic communities for adults dealing with chemical dependency. Clients at our facilities receive treatment tailored specifically to their needs. These services include individual and group psychotherapy, case management, drug counseling, and vocational services.
In late Summer 2016, we will open the doors to our Center for Recovery and Wellness, a new community center serving individuals and families facing substance use disorders, offering a holistic approach to addiction, from prevention to formal treatment, to recovery services and wellness programming. Educational Alliance recognizes that every community is affected by addiction. We are excited to create a new center – the first of its kind in New York – that will serve individuals and families of all backgrounds. The Center will offer all our existing programming (outpatient and residential treatment, prevention services, vocational programming) as well as expand programming for families, community members, people in recovery and professionals in the field. The Center will also position Educational Alliance to tackle the issues of addiction in our community in a new and innovative way and serve as a model for other communities throughout the City, State and nation.
