Educational Alliance Preschool Camp
for ages 2 - 5

4 two- week sessions (2009 Dates - TBA)

Our preschool staff create an environment of fun and learning - including arts & crafts, music, dramatic play, blocks, sand & water play, and story-telling. Cooperative games and tricycle riding take place in our air-conditioned gym. We play outdoors on our rooftop playground and under the sprinklers.

Every year, we pick a new theme. The 2008 theme was science! Campers learned about the natural world, making wind-socks, finding our shadows, learning what floats and sinks, experimenting with magnets and more.

It all adds up to a summer of fun, exploration, and physical activity!

Space is limited. Sign up now!

SPORTS, ART, MUSIC AND SO MUCH MORE

Activities include instructional swimming and cooperative games and children can enjoy our rooftop playground with sprinklers and plenty of climbing equipment. It all adds up to a day of fun, exploration, and vigorous physical activity.

PIONEERS (5 + 6 years)
For children preparing to make the transition to our New Country Day Camp. Pioneers develop independence by spending two days a week at our Staten Island camp. During these two days, Pioneers need to bring their own lunch.

New Country Day Camp
Ages 5 – 11

Less than 45 minutes from most of our bus pickup points, the 14th Street Y’s New Country Day Camp sets your child in the midst of New York City’s natural beauty.

FROM NATURE WALKS TO COOKOUTS
Swimming pools, hiking trails, and open meadows are the setting for this camp at Staten Island’s 75-acre Henry Kaufman Campground. Healthy outdoor experiences are at the heart of the camp, underpinning a curriculum that promotes skill development and guided enrichment.

Kids swim, learn to row a boat, play sports, and discover the natural world around them. A choice of five special curricular units: Team Sports; Arts and Crafts; Gymnastics; Theater Workshop; and Camping, Cooking and Pioneering, allow campers second grade and above to design their own camp program that they can change each week.

Campers entering K – 1st grade enjoy their days in the Newcomers Unit. We honor Jewish culture with Hebrew songs and vocabulary, Israeli dancing, challah baking classes, and a fun Shabbat celebration each Friday.
